It's a Lavochkin LA-15 codename "Fantail". Also further developed to the LA-176 and was the first Soviet aircraft to exceed Mach 1.

Looks to be a rival of the F-86 from our "kin" just northeast of Japan.

That might make a good jetcat except for the fixed gear.  Could be fun for ducted fan RC with flaps...

Try this one:

Yes, that is it. Interestingly, the original survived unscathed and managed to make it to a museum instead of being scrapped.

The cockpit in this one reminds me of the Dehavilland Dove. Experimental aircraft. Only one was built. It even made it to the US for special testing.

Fokker C.1 low rotation propeller of 1937

So what's on for the next one Ian?

It is the Dekker-Fokker-C.1  - a Dekker modification of a Fokker C1.
Lots of background info here: https://oldmachinepress.com/2017/04/05/dekker-fokker-c-i-rotary-propellers/
Video of it undergoing taxi tests here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvRdorhkeJs

It looks under-powered. Reports are that it never was confirmed to have flown. It was built around 1936.

I've seen that prop set up before somewhere but just now I can't think where. It might take a bit of memory dredging!

That's what I get for not checking the list.  Fascinating plane.  What have you got for us Tom?
