Thank you all.
HW, I inlarged my plans to a 40" wing. Plan to make it a 4 Chanel R/C electric. Ordered wood from a supplier in Idaho, 1/8 stock and misc. stock. 100  1/8 for $16, and misc. for $16.

On the way to Oshkosh we were crossing over Gary Indiana going thru 9000ft when a Cessna 421 crossed in front of us. I'm sure the pilot was doing a double take seeing a "30's" racer coming at him. Oh yah, it wasn't any cooler above 9000, I wanted to cool off. Something else, rain drops really hurt at 170mph!

Well Richard, have been thinking about your request...  The "Y" doesn't like 80mph! 100mph works well, gets stupid below 100. It cruses at 170mph at 1850rpm and 23"mp. Wide open it'll do 250+. Engine noise isn't as bad as wind noise. It'll climb 2500+fpm at 140mph. At 160mph the control pressures start to get heavy. It hates hard surface runways! It acts like a Cub on grass. On hard surface, it does what it wants and tells you about it when it's done.

Due to living in the snow belt here, operations have been moved into the house as the garage is not heated. Working on finishing the Gee Bee. Had some costume decals made and most of them applied. The "N" numbers need improved. Once they are corrected it's done. I look at it and it brings back some awesome memories! Smiley

LoL... Sorry.  I am laughing because I got the humor.  Huey is referencing to the TBO's (Time Between Overhauls) on real aircraft engines and propellers (Yes, propellers of variable pitch get overhauled too).  So, "with tongue in cheek" so to speak, he was asking the question for a small model display engine & propeller regardless of "...time left before next overhaul."  Great question!
