Gary,
The latest pictures are fantastic.  The interior shots of the Avro Shackleton were outstanding.  I was interested in the upholstery of the seating on the various stations inside.  I guess this speaks of the length of mission the Shackleton was designed to fulfill.  Thanks again for the great shots.

Gary, thanks for the photos of:
Travel Air Mystery Racer and
the Keith Rider R-6
Eight
Ball
, these are my favorite golden age racing airplanes. Love the detail and I really wonder what it was like to fly one of these in those exciting days of 1930's aviation.

After a little research and not finding anything specifically addressing this small curved tube, I think it might be part of this: The aircraft's most distinguishing feature is its dorsal-mounted variable-area inlet duct (VAID). While the VAID was at the time a system unique to the F-107A, it is now considered to be an early form of variable geometry intake ramp which automatically controlled the amount of air fed to the jet engine.

Just a guess...but I'd think it was some kind of pito tube.  Ok Gary what is it.

Gary, I just took a look at your latest posts on the F100 and F107. What is the tube looking device at the opening of the inlet on the F107?

Tom, just thinking that I would give Gary a choice of airplanes that he wanted to post. No pressure or pushing, I just went with your post stating;

quote"Just talked with Gary and he said if anyone wanted a particular aircraft to be posted" quote

SO! I just put some up, I know that what Gary has posted has been a job to post and he wanted to know what anyone was particularly interested in. Any one aircraft would be a prize to have. My admiration goes out to Gary for all of the great photos and his efforts to share with the rest here.

Great Job Gary Smiley

Just talked with Gary and he said if anyone wanted a particular aircraft to be posted in the detailed picture archive he would be happy to check his library to see if he had that aircraft and would be happy to post those pictures for anyone who wanted.  Just depends if he has them.  So modelers, what's your next project or interest to see posted?
