Nose plug is finished, I will be testing this weekend than on to covering, Nose plug total weight was not 9 grams, it took 23 grams to balance her out, total weight as seen is 48 grams.

Ok nose plug made with ballast weight in, not bad, 9 grams of weight in nose, just need a final sanding and sealing of nose area then I will be ready for trial tests and then covering.

Here is a little more work done, main rotor shaft and hub now installed with upper shaft retainer and nose has been sheeted in.

Thanks Bob and Tom, I hope I am making this one easy enough for anyone to build, that is my goal, I have high hopes for this one ( fingers crossed  Wink )

Hi Tom, I had built the tri-geared version a long time ago, it flew but the gear made it heavy, I will make mine silver overall, I think that's what color it started out in and was painted yellow when it was doing flight demonstration shows.

I googled the Bell 30 and it's an interesting model.  Looks like the later models had a tricycle gear setup instead of the tail dragger....It's interesting to see that it was yellow overall.   I look forward to seeing this one come together.  Great to see your other birds in flight.
