Thanks, guys!

Paige and I have  already decided on a model for her first build.  I have a Sig Buster kit that she can try her hand at.  It will teach her to cut, sand, fit, and glue, without being too complicated for a first build.  I have all of the hardware, controls, and an engine for it, and then she can fly it. Smiley  If she likes this one, then we can move on to something more complicated.

I'm really looking forward to this. Smiley Cool

Congratulations to Paige, and to yourself for your encouragement. Perhaps she will enter a build on this board.

Hi, all.

This last saturday, Dec. 2, my grandaughter, Paige Reynolds learned to fly controline.  On her first flight she found the ground just short of running out of fuel, (not much damage, just a broken prop and bent landing gear, easily fixed) but on her second flight she ran the tank dry and made a decent landing. Smiley

I'm very proud of this 14 year old. Smiley  She also wants to learn to build her own planes.  Yay!!!!!!  I'm going to help and encourage her as much as I can.

P.S.  She is also a brand new AMA member.
