Just a suggestion for the next one...unless you undo all the rigging.  Try building a jig to hold the wings steady while adding the struts.  When they are all in and the wing is dry and straight without any warps/twists, then add the rigging. Several options for jigs using various material: balsa, foam board, etc.  I might cut out a rectangle of foam board with the rib patterns cut out to hold the tips and a piece to fit at the center between the two wings.  Just a thought.  Once the jig meets the desired results...start gluing in the struts!!!  Again just a thought.

Now I know why I never built model sailing ships. Wanted to try and make this R/C, having second thoughts. Got some nasty tweaks in the top wing.

That is a beautiful collection of parts. But looking at all of those struts give me a headache. I think that it would drive me crazy trying to get them all in place and true at assembly! Hope it works out perfectly for you.

What a PAIN! Started at the right tip. Tied strut to strut to keep them place. Moved down to th next two. Two hours later... The wings don't like the twisting. Break time!

Fitting struts into their sockets. Now, how to attach the top wing, aligning all the struts at the same time? Why did I pick this as a model? NO COMENT.......

Thanks Mike. A warning to the wise. I ran out of medium CA. Purchased some Gorilla Super Glue Gel. Works great except "A little dab will do ya". Got some between my index finger and thumb and "Oh boy". Debonder wouldn't work. Almost lost a layer of skin.

For those of you who don't have to deal with the "S" word. The wicked witch of the north stopped by for 4 hours and I got this.

Test fitting struts to their sockets.

Finished the fittings, four struts to finish. Next, how to assemble the two wings to the struts. The wings have to be assembled before anything can be attached to the wings. Have some mono fishing line to use as wires.

Been messing with aluminum tubing. Sockets that mount to the wing and fittings that attach to the struts. One third of the way done.

Everything is covered. Now lift strut sockets. Two down, 30 to go.

Got the bottom wing covered. Applied several extra coats to the under camber. Have to cover the wings before I can do anything. Also covered the ailerons, they float on the out board struts.

It's now 0416 in the AM. Couldn't sleep. So got the top wing layed up. This under camber is going to be fun covering. Nope, silk span and Nitrate. Still thinking about control " wires ". Have to make several small pulleys. Planning on using Spider Wire fishing line as it bends easily.

My chief inspector had to check out the plans, he goes 10lbs at 20 months old.
