Just remember one thing. In the Navy, Army and Marines they shoot at the enlisted people. In the Air Force they shoot at the officers.

hummmmm...

Bill.... with all the covering experience you've gotten covering with cloth, the full size version you've talked about is a no brainer!!!!.

Looking forward to seeing these birds...  After seeing the Phantoms these are going to be outstanding!

You've intrigued me with the Avenger...found this video on Youtube re: an early scheme of the Avenger that President Bush flew.  Avenger starts around 2 minutes in Avenger Video Click Here

Here's another of Grumman's big bird TBM(Built by General Motors) Click Here

Bill...the Avenger is a great plane.  When we lived in Sacramento, we used to go out to a crop duster's field and he had a TBM in the hanger.  Was a huge airplane.  He flew it to airshows in the area.  He had fake bombs under the wing and fake torpedo in the bomb bay!

Look forward to seeing these birds completed!

Bill

Been wondering for a while now how long it would be before you got around to full size.

Love to see it happen........

Easy as pie to do, just redraw the plan a bit...  But the fuse is not quite as big as that...  Weed need to blow the plan up just a bit more.  Actually, not a bit, but double this size, to 20 feet wings.  That would double the width of the cockpiit and allow for a little guy to fit in the hole...

Art and I are currently looking at the plans for the Tom Morse Scout, with an idea that we could actually blow it up to full size... 1:1 scale...

All the control surfaces working and a cockpit and stick...  Maybe even a motor to make the prop spin...  who'd like to join us?

G'day Bill;
Looks like you guys are having too much fun-i am jelous!! The plane looks fantastic. Im guessing its mostly ply wood? I think Toms idea has merit-maybe shorten the wings by 3/4 or so,put the tail right behind the cockpit & scale it down a bit & it would make a cool peddle car! (Probably not that easy i suppose!) Keep up the good work mate!

Cheers!!

Bill,

If I could figure out how to put peddle wheels on that thing my grandsons would love peddling that around.  Wing clearance might be a problem.  Has it got wing folding mechanisms?  LOL Smiley

I love the Hellcat.... BEEEuuuuTTTTffffuuuullll!

Pretty scary clown nose art, Bill.

Reminds me of the time we got a clown for my son's third birthday.  Scared him to death!  The guy who was a friend had to go scrub his face before Scotty would let him come near him!!! Shocked Grin Cheesy

Totally unexpected response!

I don't think he likes clowns to this day!
