Nice P-39.  I have a kit (don't remember manufacturer right now) that I've been thinking of doing that scheme or the next rendition in yellow CobraII. 

Really nice job on that plane and as you say, "Yes stick and tissue can fly on Nitro!"  Well Done! Smiley

Tell, me about the landing gear and how you installed/attached it to the frame then lest see some more photos of this racing version which I think Tex Johnson flew in the 1946 Thompson Trophy if Im not mistaking.
