This may be a bit late and I'm not sure if anyone here is into the class (yet

), BUT, Marcelo Pricoli (the driving force behind JV44 in Uruguay) is heading up a P-30 competition to be "flown" on Sunday 06 Sep '15.
Rules are the current P-30 and details/registration can be had on the HPA thread:
http://www.hippocketaeronautics.com/hpa_forum/index.php?topic=19431.0There are a number of inexpensive kits available and heaps of plans. These planes go together pretty quickly and are not difficult (unless one opts for the bells and whistles designs and have very good flight characteristics - fairly easy to trim, cheep (when scratched) - but DO need a positive DT. CAN be flown in a relatively limited sized field - if you're brave. A good intro to performance type (FAI recognized) flying.
I'm planning on joining in, and am in the process of finally finishing up my IKARA "Pee Wee" (started two years ago

).
