Hello Tom,

The bushings you see in the shaft alignment formers are brass eyelets 3/32" ID if I am not mistaken.

The alignment took a little bit of time to do but I wanted the alignment as perfect as I could get it so I did a little tinkering before everything got sweet.

Ray,
What are you using for your bushings/bearings in the bulkheads?  Looks like a very sweet layout so far.  Love Woodstock!!! Great pair in the cockpit!

Ok, I have some more work done, co-pilot is in, transmission is installed, works as smooth as a glass, and the rest of upper stringers and shaft retainers are in, still much work to do.

Hello Tom,

I tried to keep the transmission install as simple as possible, the main gear box slides down into the balsa rails on the gear box former and can slide up or down for proper alignment, the small pinion gear box assembly simply plugs into the very rear former # 13 and the spur gear that attaches to the main drive shaft also fits onto former # 13 and the drive shaft hooks up to the gear box. You will see once everything is put together.

I got a little more work done today, all lower stringers are now in place and I did a little re-enforcing at some key locations but not much, in a day or two I should be ready to start installing the transmission.

Well, paraphrasing Edison...You've found several ways how not to make a rubber powered heli!   Keep up the great work!
