Hi Tom, I had built the tri-geared version a long time ago, it flew but the gear made it heavy, I will make mine silver overall, I think that's what color it started out in and was painted yellow when it was doing flight demonstration shows.

I googled the Bell 30 and it's an interesting model.  Looks like the later models had a tricycle gear setup instead of the tail dragger....It's interesting to see that it was yellow overall.   I look forward to seeing this one come together.  Great to see your other birds in flight.

Ok, a little more done, working on the tail end piece, made this out of foam, just need to do the fine sanding and seal it so I can give it a light dusting of primer.

Also I found so old photo's of my Jet ranger and 1st Huey in flight. Enjoy.

Cheers, Ray K.

Hi Tom, yea she is pretty big but simple enough and light enough to get airborne, if this works I will have to keep all designs in this simple scale type of work, who knows maybe I will simplify the Huey.

More work done, 80% completed, need to make nose plug and landing gear struts and sheet the nose section, total weight including the projected 8 grams of weight in the nose will be around 34 grams, model is almost 3 feet long.

Cheers, Ray K.
