Thanks for the suggestion, pb_guy. I went back in and changed all of the pdf files into jpegs. MUCH smaller.

Thanks for the work Downhill. It is possible with a bit of work to reduce the scans in size without much loss of readability, such as the attached zip file with jpegs of the pages you posted.

His book. Model Airplanes Building and Flying
His publisher. The Goodheart-Willcox Company, Inc. They are still in Chicago. They granted permission to scan and post this book.
History of Model Aircraft. That's the name of this forum. They welcomed the opportunity to post the scans of Joe Ott's book.
For this project we will try to regularly post the scans as if we were building a book, not unlike the model builds you see elsewhere.
We will start this 350+ page project with the title page.
