Wow Bob - Tissue work is absolutely great and the markings came out well as well. Very nice detail and am looking forward to a flight report.

All markings are applied, the stab and rudder attached plus the lower wing radiators also attached. Now just the canopy to be vacuumed.

Looking very nice Bob -  ambitious color scheme for a dimer, and very well executed.

Sorry Bob, I meant to say you can color in the white areas on the back side of the printed marking and any stray pencil marks won't show through the black printing.  No need to get a black pencil and color over the black markings.

Ouch! That means that I need to get a black as well Tongue

Mike, thanks for the info I could not find any chalk anyway so the pencil idea will come in handy.

(when is the next contest?)

Back side - that way you don't have to be super-accurate with the pencil, as it won't show through the blue.  Same goes for the black on your markings.

Mike, are you marking the front or the back of the tissue?

Bob,

I use the Prismacolor Premier pencils.  You can buy them individually in a variety of colors at Hobby Lobby.

I had a hard time getting enough chalk on the tissue to keep it white when stuck onto the model - found I could get a denser white with the colored pencil.

Cheers,

Mike

Mike, I was going to use chalk on the backside of the tissue to Make the white area opaque.

Bob,

Suggest you color the back of the markings with white colored pencil (or spray a light coat of white on the back) so the underlying color won't show through.  This one is looking nice!

I finally found some white tissue so the markings could be printed out.
