W Hicks, welcome to the S&T community. The builders here are a bunch of great people who love to build and fly a/c. I also was involved in competition CL (Rat Race, Combat) back in the 60's and early 1970.

Welcome aboard W.Hicks...make yourself at home here on S&T and be sure to take lots of pictures of your builds and post them in the various build sections of the site.  We look forward to you sharing your expertise and previous modeling experiences with us.  If a question comes up just ask and these fellow modelers will have a plethora of info to share with you.  Welcome once again!

Welcome aboard! You will find this board to be a great place, full of friendly folks who are happy to share their knowledge and expertise. I am quite new to the hobby myself. What project, if any, do you currently have in the works?

Building stick-and-tissue models is a hobby, not work.

I have started to build and fly rubber power planes again, I have been flying and competing with Control Line Precision Aerobatics since 1984. I am now retired and have been slowly collecting rubber power kits etc for this time in my life. I have recently attended but not competed in two contests in Tangent,Oregon. I really enjoy building the rubber power airplanes. I have very little experience at it but am learning rapidly. I have built a Jabberwock, Boomer P-30, Phantom Flash, Easybuilt 36" Rearwin Speedster. I have enjoyed this forum .
