I went to see Midway on the big screen today. Wow! That CGI is really good nowadays! Great engine sounds really make it realistic. Some of the flying wasn't that realistic including hot-dogging with an engine-off carrier landing catching the first wire, and some of the action was a little contrived compared to reality. I don't remember them covering the Japanese counter-attack, although they did cover the Japanese confusion and the ammunition changes from bombs to torpedoes. But overall it was time well spent.
