Is that the one they nick named "The Flying Eye"?   Could we please see more of the glazing?  I bet that wasn't easy to build.

This is my one-time pride-and-joy - my Jumbo (36" wingspan) Focke-Wulf 189. 

The first photo was taken at Geneseo in maybe 1999.

The second is how it had to be launched at full power - a straight-up climb with a roll-out to a flat, long-duration flight.  (Don't worry - the wires were well out of the way.)

The third photo is how it sits today.  In the fall of 1999 (I think it was 99), in Muncie, my launch was flatter than required.  the two motors at full power with props going in the same direction rolled the plane over and it hit the ground with disturbing results.

I plan on rebuilding this.  The engine nacelles are fine, as is the wing center section, the fuselage nacelle and the wing tips.  Only the booms and the tail surfaces need rebuilding.  I am afraid that I will need to re-cover the entire model, also.

I had three victories with this model in the one season I flew it - two in WWII Combat and one in Jumbo.
