Grin Reminds me of a Hitchcock movie North by Northwest with Cary Grant, James Mason and Eva Marie Saint.
Obviously, you know this one and are throwing 6000 hints their way. Don't let Poseidon distract you with his implement of destruction now!

The layout of this aircraft reminded me of the X-1.

That was a good one Kiwi - took me a couple hours to find it.  I saw the four-bladed props and cowls and went off looking for late and post-WWII British bombers.  The bubble up front eventually got me headed in the right direction.
