Guillows Skyraider, built about 1995.  Bones pic is from back then, completed pic is from earlier this year.  Model survived 6 moves.  I recovered one wing, the stab and several tissue blowouts on the fuselage sides and bottom to get it flying again last year.  Painted tissue gets really brittle over 20 years!  Yesterday got three flights 50-60 seconds each out of it.

It is 12" wing span and RC..,,, I built it from
A photo from Google and a set of construction
Dwgs from EAA.

This RamRod250 (1957) and Zero (1958) were built, the RamRod contest flown at the 1956 at the 1956 Yankee
Nationals at South Weymouth NAS where it placed 3d in my first contest!) with Silkspan covering! It went through the obligatory aging, shrinking (Some white foot mouse nibbling)
Etc... and was rescued from my parents atic in 1989... salvaged and recovered with clear monocote and flown some more! Still flyable and about to be flown again in 2017.
Will chase down another antique Tatone Timer for the Zero

Tom,  sorry to have misled you but those photos were taken when the airplane was new.

Not as pristine now but in pretty good shape though the stab needs stripping and recovering; the Japanese tissue is now so brittle it's almost untouchable.

Great looking model Applehoney!  Well done!  She doesn't even look that old.  You keep her in great shape!

Oldest I have in 'stock' is a 1/2A version of my earlier 'Apple Honey' design, this being the first model built following my arrival in Canada in 1983.

It did very well for me for some years before being set aside for later models with different airfoils.  If I recovered the stab the airplane could be back in the air in short order.  TD,049,  240 sq. ins.

Well, I don't see in the (rule), that it needed to be finished or flyable? Found this in the attic, looking for Christmas stuff. So here you go, beat this one. My Grandfather took me into a hobby shop one day, and said I could have an airplane. This is the first airplane build I ever did. This is the one that started it all. I imagine plastic Cox control line kicked in shortly around here. My Grandfather died when I was 8. God Bless his soul. So, born in 1962, plus 8, equals built in 1970. This airplane is 46 years old. You can't see it in the picture, but I built right off the paper plan. And used Ambroid glue. The fuselage is actually in great shape. And I must have had much more limber hands, and better eyes, because the work is not that bad at all. And there is zero pin holes in the paper plan? Did I have that much patience back then to actually hold the parts in place? WOW. I should finish this airplane, and make a teather flyer out of it, so it will last, and I could enjoy it. And I should put decals on each side of it, and call it, PAPPY. Pap would be proud.

Dave,
Love the looks of the flying wing.  You might want to consider the CLG (Catapult Launched Gliders)  using a 6 inch handle made from a 1/2" dowel with a strand of 1/8" rubber looped and tied to the handle, can't recall the FAC rules on rubber length at present but you can access the rules on the FAC board on this site.

I'd start with about 16" length and go from there.  Check out the CLG board for some inspiration.  As for the hook.  Place it on the nose ventral and in front of the "cg". Here's a link to the cg board: Click Here

Just for further info...the catapult speed will have a big effect on your trimming and launch angle and stretch of the rubber also.  I'd start with partial stretch at first to see how she handles the launch speed and build up to full stretch. Check out Staubkorb's advice on post #15 Here
