Have to agree Bob,I use the same Excel knife (its even red too-goes faster ha ha) & its a great bit of kit!
Robert,my man bits dont seem to be the problem (probably a bit too small to get in the way...!) but I must have big toes-they seem to cop dropped knifes!

That's a really great idea and I should do that for myself soon!  Those round handles knife are like a Sword of Damocles hanging over my man-bits.  Not to find a solution to all the other stuff that gets dropped on the floor!

Terry, thanks for the tip l now know how to fix all of those round Xacto's that are sitting in my model tool box. l purchased these several years ago (l think they are Excel) just for the purpose of not rolling off of my desk. They have a hexagon shape on the end that tightens down:

Does anyone else have trouble with their knife rolling away and threatening to stab ones foot as it falls off the building board?  I do.

The fix is piece of triangular shaped pencil eraser around the knifes handle.
