I built this airplane because I was bored and just to see if I could get something this small to fly.

This is my second build after coming back to the hobby in 2003. I found the tiled plans on HPA and built this Keith Rider Jackrabbit in my room in California. Stored it for several years then moved back to Texas in 2012, my brother took me to a large park to fly and this airplane took off like a rocket. I think it had a 7" prop and 500 winds by hand. WOW! It turned me onto Tom Nallen's plans and Golden Era racing a/c.

No canopy yet when flown, I had not discovered vacuum forming. The first photo is the first time I tried vacuum forming.

My favorite airplane a Comet Attack dime scale, just trimming this a/c it would fly over 200' tossed from over my head. Gave it away to a fellow worker who just lost his grandmother and he displayed it on top of the cubicle separation wall. It flew away several times across the entire length of the building when the air conditioning vent hit just right.

Here the only photos I have of these two airplanes.

1. Guillows Lancer with out landing gear. It almost flew away.

2 & 3. Keil Kraft Senator built from plans and the prop was my 1st. attempt that did not work, it only flew at my height all the way to the street in the photo and the traffic caused a draft that sucked it down to the pavement, but was not run over. I gave this away to my boss at DPS.

These 2 Homesick Angels were given away before they were flown to the manager of my apt. complex. They were also built 5 years apart.

Keith Rider built racing a/c the "SHEONFELDT FIRCRACKER" if I got the name correct. Built from plans blown up, covered with domestic tissue and I used 50/50 water and Future floor wax.

Gave it away and was told that it had problems flying. "OH WELL!" I plan on building it again at 16" ws instead of the 20"ws.

Had fun with the tissue cals and learning how to use paint program, Painted the firecracker on the nose.
