The job has cut into my build time about 85% and those carefree days of just building from waking up till bedtime are over for a while so I have packed up the Maryland for another time.

I totally understand Bob...I understand that this(the Senator) is a fairly easy build and also a quick build for experienced modelers.  So, hopefully this will work into your schedule easily.

I found another article on the Senator by Ramon Alban, I think he's from the UK.  It's a very informative and interesting article with snippets from some very well known Senator flyers. The article is attached.
Here's Ramon's site link: Click Here

Bummer Bob...But at least you've got another one across town.  In this little "burg" we don't even have a FedEx/Kinko's.

I've got to get some printer cartridges for the printer so I can print out the plan and tape together the pages for the proper size.

I'm also looking at a couple other builds as well.  I just can't narrow it down to just one! LOL  I'm sure you know how that is.

Any more progress on the Maryland?

Tom, thanks for the I links they were a good read. I did not get to print out a plan, the over size printer was broken so it looks like a trip across town to another FEDEX.

In preparation for this cookup I've found this info and a link to Ian Davitts excellent Aeromodeller article from 1996 on making it fly well : Click Here

I've also found an old cookup on SFA for the Senator that has some good input for building and DT's for the Senator... Click Here

Watching YouTube videos of Senators fly is what sold me on building one.

Pete, I appreciate the effort your go through to make videos of test glides all the way thru well behaved models.  It's very helpful to see the good with the bad.

This is a pretty bird you built.

Already have one that is, so far, pretty well trained to stay "near home" Grin.

I built 75% Senator, but even before it was finished I wished that I had built it full size. Besides, it's more fun to build with a group.

I'm between builds right now. I'll spend the interim doing an inventory and replenishing stock.

We're looking to see if you're interested in starting a Keil Kraft Senator Cookup in the coming build season. Starting sometime in November running through May 31st 2015.
