Crash surviving... I'm not sure Titebond or CA or Duco has any advantages when it comes to crashes. Just depends on the crash!!! Cheesy Wink

Tom, I had been wondering about the speed to accomplish a build with CA as opposed to the durability or elasticity (crash surviving) of TITEBOND on a structure. On some builds I am a little impatient.

Hey Bob,

Found this on SFA re: CA and other glues...

Personally I used CA but the containers it comes in dispenses it too much no matter how careful you are.  I read somewhere on SFA or HPA of using a piece of wire or wood and making a small fork in the end of it to hold a drop of CA for application works best.  The fellas on SFA go one better check them out.

Titebond sands easier than CA and has a much more flexible joint. CA is a more stiff/brittle joint.  Usually the balsa breaks around the CA joint, not the joint itself.

Duco and those types can be dissolved with acetone for changing incidence etc.

I have a question for everyone here: What are the pros and cons of CA and Titebond (alpheotic resin) for stick and tissue builds?
