If you haven't checked out the new pics from Gary on Air Racers in the Archive section I highly recommend you do so.  Especially the latest on the Yak 11 Mr. Awesome... Click Here

Pete, after some test flights we will see if I have the correct dihedral. Yes it is a Tom Nallen short kit from Shorty's Basement.

I just pulled off the table and measured the dihedral, and its 1 1/2"

I can't remember if your Jack Rabbit is from the Tom Nallen plan.  If so, I can't help feeling that the 1-1/4 inch dihedral per side is a misprint.  1-3/4" will put the tips just a smidgen below the thrust line which, IMHO, would be the minimum.  The value/importance of the increased dihedral was driven home at the IIFI gathering in Nijmegen, Netherlands this past weekend withe the "disassembly" Roll Eyes of my pistachio scale "Gipsy Moth".

The canopy looks GREAT (as does the entire model)!  Hope to see flight reports soon!

After two attempts (the first two were milky white) I was finally able to vac a canopy for the JACKRABBIT:

And here it I just attached it to the fuselage and waiting for the glue to dry (which takes hours) so I can apply some black tissue for the canopy frame.

Looking good Bob...love to see you found the plug.  I need to quit modifying my plugs for another model and just make new ones.  I always seem to need an extra one down the road.   Roll Eyes Shocked Wink Cheesy

I was moving some stuff to clear my area of plans and found my container with the VAC canopy plugs and the KEITH RIDER was present. So tomorrow I will be able to finish the build.

Looks like inspiration has returned with some time and the two are creating beautiful models again.  Well done Bob!
