Well here's a brief history of the F2G1 "Super Corsair" built by Goodyear: Click Here and Click Here

That F2G is a pretty airplane especially after the restoration, I did not notice when reading the history how many were produced.

I printed the plan for the Jackrabbit last night, now I need to trim the pages and tape together.

Glad somebody has a clue where they're headed. I did some searching for info on the 1913 Deperdussin and found several articles on the plane. Trouble is, NONE of them resemble my plan! There's no way you could mistake one for the other - they're just too different.

I just ordered a Tigercat plan from Dave Diels. It is a 25.75" plan drawn specifically for rubber power. The plan I have is for rubber too, but I've never been a fan of cracked ribs. I've always wanted to try one. Guess this is my big chance.  Cool

Bob, you're positive this thing qualifies as a racer, right?

It's going to be fun building and learning the history of these planes. So what I have learned about the Gee Bee R1 is 8 out of 7 crashed. Also they leaked oil so bad there were holes in front of the canopy so the pilot could reach out and clean the window.

I did vote in the pole the day it was posted.

Let's here some history on the planes everyone it building!

Billy,

Looks like a fun plan.  You may find the larger model will be easier to get flying.  I look forward to this build.  There's a Gee Bee being built on HPA that you might want to follow for some ideas on your own build.  Gee Bee click here

Edit: 1/26/2015- Billy did you vote in the pole?  I was just wondering? Didn't think I saw a change!

Billy, that is a nice airplane and color scheme. Always loved the photos and video of Doolittle with it.

After looking at the previous plans, it seems the plane will be on the large side. So I found this peanut peanut plan to use.
