Well the survey states  "Who's interested in an Air Racers Cook Up? " so that in my interpretation leaves it open to any airplane that raced in an organized event. What ever the organization was.

Dave,

Bob did say it's not a complete list Grin Wink....but when you open it up to all Race planes from day one to the present, I guess you could even build a Wright Flyer, I believe it was raced as well.  I wish some one would build a Schneider Cup Racer.  So many really cool float planes!

For anyone out there that may not care to scratch build, Dumas has several rubber kits that are laser cut and reasonably priced. Racing plane kits available are:

Gee Bee E, R1 and Z models
Mr. Mulligan
F8F Bearcat
T6 Texan
Laird Super Solution
Gilmore Red Lion
Super Marine S.6b (float plane)
Hall's Bulldog
1B Hughes Racer

Here again, probably not a complete list of what they have, but most of them. You can browse what's available here:

I also like the Laird LC-DW Solution, in its green and yellow scheme it is a beauty and there is a replica flying also.

Comet has a really good plan.

You know, this could be a contender with me. The Tigercat AND the Deperdussin could be on the back burner!

In the latest Flying Aces Club News (Jan/Feb) one of the plans is an Travel Air Model "R" the 1929 Thompson Trophy winner. Looks like the wing span is at or over 20" after a quick look.
