That IS one pretty aircraft!  A small one for rubber/CO2 power would be a nice mod, but would probably necessitate enlarging the stab/elevator.  It might even be fine without dihedral (or VERY little - just to eliminate the "droopy" look of a perfectly straight wing).

Larry,

Actually different colored tissue works pretty good without to much of color change or loss.  Same as in painting your models, "Dark over Light colors".

Check out the tutorial here on first aircraft build: Click Here

Thanks for the compliments, the engine is a Saito FG 36cc gas four stroke. And as for channels, it is nice and simple with the basic 4 functions plus an onboard ignition kill switch.
I was thinking that same thing about it making a nice rubber powered free flight, put a bit of dihedral in it, and see if I could find some camouflage tissue colors and cover it that way. I don't know about doping one layer of tissue over the other, I think that would chance the color and might look funny. This is all stuff I have to learn!

Larry,

What a great looking model. Polish observation, I guess the model tells us on the vertical stab the name and manufacturer.  I can see this one making a great rubber powered model.  Good lines, high parasol wing, lots of room for rubber.  She really is a beauty!  Thanks for sharing her with us!

What's her power?  How many channels?  Very Nice!

Most of the times when I show up at the field with this one no body knows what it is. I designed it and it's built to 1/4 scale with a span of 132" & 25lbs.
