Here is the original one that I designed many moons ago from which it looks the other ones in this thread have stemmed from. I posted the full plans in RCG also many moons ago... but as long as people have reference it and are building for self enjoyment that is cool.

I use to sell kits of a similar design (MIA Moskito 1-2-3 and  MIA Feather)  back in the day when I started MIA Designs now MIA Micro-FLIGHT. I even did a finger size one with the intent on microchiping it some day with the right technology. Well, we are way beyond those days, but as long as people still enjoy flying rubber powered models, and a simpler kind of hobby then that is super!.

I'll try to contribute here some of my own other original designs as time permits.

Scott, sorry because my late reply. I prefer the classic modeling and do not use carbon or any composite materials. I use only “stick and tissue” to make my models. Unfortunately, i did not make Palm Size helicopter and I do not have personal experience in relation to making this model.  This helicopter designed by Mario I. Arguello . I think that all the necessary information can be found here:
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=184432
I hope that this will help you.  By the way, many years ago I make a similar model, but without carbon fiber parts. I'll tell you about my experience later, and now I send a drawing.

Lekovic:

Thanks for sharing!

I'd like to build Palm-Size, but I have lots of questions:
1) What are the tips weights made of?
2) Blades are paper?
3) Is the tail-fan curved?  Is it made of paper?
4) How did you make the landing gear?
5) Is the motor stick carbon rod?  What size diameter?
6) Are the plates (marked A and B in the Palm Size 1,gif) also carbon fiber?  What thickness?
7) What adhesive is bestt for gluing the carbon rods?

Thanks!
Scott
