Thank the both of you for the tips.  I'll check out the Testor's and the Aleene's and see if one or both will work for me.  Bet they will. Smiley

Not really discouraged, just griping.  I've been doing models of all kinds since I was a little kid, but it's been a long time (20 years!) since I did any stick and tissue.  I'm learning a lot from all of you, and remembering a bit at the same time.  I truly do appreciate the encouragement and advise that I get here. Smiley

The fuselage is repaired, and almost ready to recover.  Now, I'm rethinking my color scheme!  Pics to come............

Well done Bob...looking good.

JW...don't get discouraged.  As you progress in this wonderful hobby, you'll find out how to splice in new stringers between formers on a regular basis....don't ask how I know this !!! Roll Eyes Shocked Grin Wink Cool  We've all broken our fair share of stringers and leading edges, trailing edges or ribs as we've sanded the model down in prep for covering.  It even happens as you are in the process of covering.  I suggest a small drop Cya(super glue) on the cracked stringer and hold back out to proper position for a couple seconds will fix a cracked stringer in no time.  You need to sand this carefully because the balsa will become very hard around the repaired crack.

I've found Aleene's Tacky Glue (get it at Walmart) works really well on canopies.  It dries clear and is very thick so you'll need to be careful in the application.  I usually put some in an old plastic lid and use a toothpick to spread it on the canopy.  As Bob said you'll need to hold the canopy in place while the glue dries.  I've used masking tape as well as rubber bands such as Bob shows.

JW, I use Testors Canopy glue for plastic models. It works fine just a little slow to set up so the clear part needs to be held in place (some how Shocked)

Bob, that canopy looks great!  I hadn't thought of the salad container plastic.  Nice idea. Smiley  What did you use to glue it down with?  I've always had a bit of trouble attaching plastic neatly to the models.  Never have found anything that I'm really happy with.  Maybe it's just me....... Huh

I know that I'm not alone in having trouble with a build.  Sometimes it's a little difficult being "glass half full" guy, but I'm trying.  I can totally sympathize with anyone that has ever had to redo or rebuild something.  Thanks for the encouraging words.  I'll have more pics up as soon as I can.

JW, your not special when it comes to deconstruction of the fuse longerons while sanding / attaching Wink I bet I destroy more than I attach Grin. Cannot wait to see more photos your build.

I finally attached the canopy made from a salad container:

Thanks, guys.  This will give me the chance to correct a couple of things that I should have taken care of in the first place.  And Hey, I only broke two longerons getting the tissue off the fuselage.  Not too bad!!! Onward!

I'm gonna get this thing done, if it will just hold still and let me do it!  LOL

I totally understand what you're saying. Grin Cheesy Wink  Good luck with your repair/recovering!

JW...sorry for your situation.  Krylon won't shrink out wrinkles that were already there.  It's just a stabilizer for the tissue and to seal any decals etc.  I try to get the wrinkles out first.  Always a challenge for me!  Good luck on your re-do!

JW, OUCH! Shocked sorry to hear about the hiccup.

I finally found some clear plastic that was used for a salad mix that will work perfectly on the Bullet, nice and light and will bend to shape for the canopy.

Photos to follow as soon as the glue dries.

Had a setback on the Flea.  Tried the krylon clear for the first time.  I had a very few small wrinkles on the fuselage that the water shrinking didn't take out, and figured that the clear would take care of it.  Wrong!  So, I tried the heat gun.  Worked like a champ! Smiley  Then it cooled.  Wrinkles all over. Angry  I'll have to strip it all off and start over.  I think I'll stick with what I know will work, clear plastisized dope.

I think that'll work ok for you Bob... you determine you want more umph, you can always increase the size later.  But not having built one before someone may have better advice!

I am debating on the prop for my Black Bullet. I have several orange props and since the wing span is 30 inches the rule is a 10" prop, but I was thinking a 9" prop would do the job.
