The idea I had come up with was kind of like a turn buckle as the adjustment. Smaller size obviously would be alot less adjustment than say a 30"WS plane.

The difficulties with adjustable dihedral would apply to any model. Overcoming the same stresses would seem to apply to any ornithopter design, since that also involves a changing dihedral. For a "fixed", but adjustable, dihedral, one approach would be to use a strut (or two) to hold the selected dihedral in place. Alternately, you could use a meshed "gear" at the rotating point that could be locked in place somehow. An interesting thought.

Adjustable Dihedral?

Almost ready to start on a 1/2 sized Senator. Original size plan calls for 4" dihedral so I will set mine to 2". Has anybody managed to find a way to make it adustable once built? I have come up with a sliding sort of mechanism on paper to make it adjustable once built. Weight should be manageable with trimming elsewhere on the plane. If anyone has a easier method put up a post please.
