Hi Paul, my Mrs. thinks it's pretty cool too, she even plays mechanic for me when I go fly.  Smiley

Ok, here is the power test with main rotors on, looks very unstable and wobbly, I will have to go with a ridged rotor system on this one, it will only take a day or two to redo the rotor head no biggie, here's the video.

Thanks Bob and Tom,

I told you she was big, biggest I have built yet.

Bob, a lot of my engineering is by trial and error and after 48 years of trial and error it gets easier so don't worry, one day you will want to build one and I will have all the engineering already done for you, you just have to build it.  Wink

Outstanding Ray,
I knew she was big but now I know she's really big.  Sounds like you're going to have good power available.  Well done, thanks for sharing!

Here you go Ray... I loved the video and think you might have seen quite a flight if she'd been outside.  But my models seem to find the "Plane Eating Trees or Fences"  quite frequently!  Shocked Embarrassed Cry Cheesy Wink
Hope to see more of these heli videos!!! Cool
We'll change the board picture to one of your birds in flight when we get one of those!

To prevent this in a free flight model you have to get the model off the ground quickly, not giving the model the chance to tip over, I have had models tip over due to being under powered. FYI. Also wider landing gear helps stabilize the model before lift off, I never build scale landing gear to help prevent tip overs. Wink
