This is the worksheet on which that calculator is based. Perhaps it will work on your mac. No guarantees.

You'd have to contact that site for info regarding making it work on your mac.  I think you might zero out the numbers on the site, plug in your numbers and calc on the site for the results.  Just a thought!

If you want to play with the numbers, but the math is too daunting, I put together a spreadsheet to take the hard parts out. The yellow cells are for internal calculations. Don't enter anything there. The blue cells are where you put your data. I included a couple of spots for you to do metric to SAE conversions.
When it comes to the selections for rate of climb and single/double surfaces, only the first checked cell will count.

Modified Spreadsheet layout. Updated Version now attached.

Chas H Grant wrote this article for Free Flight Rubber Modelers to help them determine the number of strands needed to power their models.

It was posted in the Current Builds section by Mike/New Builder, July 7, 2017 for the Gene Duboise Gere Sport build.
