Good thing. The video shows it to be a great flyer, and it has that unique look of the DH-5 going for it. Hopefully, orders will pick up even more.

That's an interesting idea.  Since I have no fear of negative stagger, if I did a WW1 kit I think the DH-5 would be it.

I have made the Beanberg D1 a regular production kit again.  People started ordering them! Cool

As we have been warned, once something gets out on the internet it never goes away.

Well, I posted the Beanberg D1 on several forums and got positive responses to it so I kitted it.  After two years on my web site I hadn't sold a single one, so I deleted it from my web site, or so I thought.  It seems that my store has a back door to pages that are, supposedly, de-published and I saw that I have been getting many hits on that page even though it was not through the regular menu.

I republished the page with the proviso that it is email order only.  If you want one, email me at my web site email, [email protected], and I will turn on the order entry on the page and make up a kit for you.

Yes, it does look like something from a cartoon.  Someone, (the person who was the unintentional model for the pilot figure) said that this model doesn't just have charisma, it has character.  (Well, he is one.)

The only trim adjustments that it needed was an increase of 1/2 degree incidence in the upper wing and a drag tab on the upper wing to keep the turn tight inside the room.  The flight for the video was in intentionally under 40 seconds since my old iPhone4 will not email a video any longer than that.  It was over 90 degrees (F) outside and the air conditioner was running full blast.  Not too much of a problem for the Bostonian, but noticeable with my Legal Eagle and a real problem for the guys trying to practice for the Penny Plane contest at the end of this month.  The flying session ended about an hour early.

Here are a couple more views.  Yes, that pilot figure does look like someone (Not me).  I'll find out how well it flies at the O.F.F.C. meeting tomorrow.

I see that you are going with the Red Baron theme. Look forward to the finished product. Multi-wings look great. how about a dogfight?

I've mentioned my Beanburg D1 Bostonian design in other posts but I've not posted a picture of it.  It's not finished in the photo, the engine detail, windscreen and nose block are not on it but I think you get the general idea.  I'll be flying it at the next O.F.F.C. meeting and if it trims up as it should I'll have time to get some videos.  Of course, as typical with my designs, I'm not satisfied with the way the fuselage goes together, and it's been redesigned slightly, but aerodynamically it will still be the same model.

More later.
