Tom, the reason we've not thought of that trick, it is too simple to think of. I think way too much, THANKS for this photo and tip.

Attaching a canopy

I found this picture on HPA today and immediately wondered why I hadn't thought of a masking tape handle taped to the top of the canopy to make it easier to handle. Also marking the center line on the canopy using the tape to make alignment easier. Great idea and thanks to "abl" for the idea. 

I use Aileen's Tacky glue to attach my canopies because it is tacky and holds in place better than white glue.  I do thin it some with water and it will wick under the canopy to make a good seal around the edge.  It does dry clear.
