Well in hindsight, this is called a Winter Cookup...and it's still fall till after Thanksgiving in my book.  So we'll stick with after Thanksgiving (in the U.S. Nov. 23, 2017) for the start.

Google says" Winter solstice 2017 in Northern Hemisphere will be at 8:28 AM on
Thursday, December 21
All times are in Pacific Time.

As far as individual post...that's not Cookup format.  Sorry Richard.  You just get to peruse all those great builds in search of the single model you're looking for.  Sorry!

If you just have to build something before that, jump on the current builds and share that build with us! Cheesy Wink Cool

Tom - Start the cookup any time that's agreeable with everyone but I will not be able to start until just after American Thanksgiving. As to the separate pages for each build, I agree with Richard it is difficult to dive through the build page to find a particular person's build. Rather than create pages for individual builders, I would like to see the search engine actually search the build for a name. I went to the Schneider cookup and found a couple of names and typed them into the search window for that cookup to find their page but rather got the same names in our current cookup page. Just a thought.

Hey Tom, as long as we are voting on a different start date, could we please have a vote on keeping our builds separate and under one separate Cookup  Board "2017-2018 COOKUP", instead of everybody's build piled and lumped on top of each other?  "The only thing I might like to see is everyone first register for the cookup, but use separate build threads, instead of everyone crowding into one build thread - just a thought ...
I find it hard to find an Individual guy's plane in the Schneider Trophy Cookup that has 32 pages, with a little bit here and a little bit there, of a guy's construction of his individual plane, spread out over 32 pages."
My vote will be for separate builds.

I believe that the Comet Harlow is 16" W/S and 12" long, unless you are reducing the plan?

Tom,

I think I've found a dime scale plan that appeals to me - do we have to wait until after Thanksgiving to get started?

OK! I  will blame y'all for me ordering some contest balsa from SIG , Esaki tissue from Shorty's Basement, and some props from E BAY. I printed the plans on my printer since I could not get to FEDEX  and taped them together, and they look pretty good. Cannot wait to start Shocked

Richard, I don't know if this will help, but I posted some work in progress shots of my first white chalking effort on my Monex Moni.  There might be a nugget of help buried in there somewhere.

Hi Dave - it will be a first time chalking for me.  I will be referring to the actual Tutorial links that Tom has posted here

   http://www.stickandtissue.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1334028646

"Chalking Tissue instead of  Paint", under "Tissue and finish", under "How to build Model Airplanes"
Herman Goering had his own personal all-white D7 that he flew around - to other countries, I thought I read somewhere.

Richard
Well, it still won't post a pic with the above - lets just try the above sentences, without a pic attached.

HEY - it works without a pic attached - now lets try to attach a pic using "modify"

Wooo Hooo - it now works - all I have to do is attach a pic using "modify".
