Here are some pics of the wheel kit and jig kit and a few pics of what the  48  SPOKE  2 1/4"  WHEELS  look like, that I put on my 24" Guillow Nieuport 11.   I highly recommend these spoke wheels.   
     This is the first and only set of spoked wheels I ever made, four years ago,  for my first laser cut kit - the Nieuport 11.   But since I now already have the small Jig Kit made, I have now bought another   2 1/4"   laser cut wheel kit, and a   2 1/2"  laser cut wheel kit ...  I DO have plans for these kits ...   
     By the way ... it is hooked up to rubber and I do intend to fly it - when there is a windless day, and there is that mythical long tall grass to land on ...

     These wheel kits and jig kits are of a most ingenious design and engineering feat by the master, Pat Tritle, and sold by "Dare".   The Laser-cut Jig goes together perfectly and so do all of the laser-cut wheel kit parts.
     There are really good instructions for lacing the wheel and the assemblies - a little bit hard to do - but look at the end result!  I found the lacing very tricky - I missed a spoke on the first wheel, so I just glued in the spoke I missed - got the second wheel spokes perfect though.

    These are 48 spoke laser cut wheel kits, that also require a laser cut wheel jig kit (sold separately), to hold the laser cut plywood wheel (rim or core) in position, while you lace the thread cord spokes, from the rim, to the brass tubing axle bushing assembly hub.  After that is done, all you do is glue the two outer laser cut balsa tire halves to the outsides of the plywood wheel rim.  (Those outer balsa tire halves need to be sanded to half round shapes on the outer edges).   Finished weight of a   2 1/4"   wheel is about 4.5  grams, and they are INCREDIBLY strong !!
