	Mike, I'd like to add a "welcome" to the site too. I must admit there's a bit of envy in knowing you had a ticket to ride the supersonic T-38. Great looking Tempest/Typhoon model. I used to know Eddie Chavez from San Antonio many years ago. He built static display models with incredible accuracy. Great to have you aboard. Looking forward to you sharing your knowledge. Skye

	These two aircraft were (at the time) the only T-38s in the USAF painted in this scheme - it was unique to the flight test squadron and (IMO) very attractive. They were both modified with additional wiring and systems to support various test activities. Mike

	What a great looking bird...thank's for the additional pic. I love those birds. Northrup built a nice aircraft there. I had a buddy that flew B-52's years ago in red flag and He told me stories of the fellas that flew the F-5 as agressors and what they did to try to catch the good guys. Great stories. Thanks again for the picture... I may just have to build a S&T rubber powered one of those!!! Tom

	You were on the right track Tom. It's an AT-38B. Spent three wonderful years at Holloman AFB NM in the late '90s flying around in the back seat doing test work - great fun.

	Mike, that jet you're setting in has me intriqued...At first I thought F-4 Phantom but after looking closer I think it might be an F-5F. Just curious. Tom

	Finally getting around to posting here. I'm retired USAF, 25 years as a test engineer and program manager. Built a lot of stick and tissue (mostly peanuts) in my school days but never made them fly very well. Got back into the hobby about the time I retired and have been really enjoying learning how to make them fly well and the camaraderie on these boards and at Flying Aces Club events. Mike
