	I think that the first CO2 motors appeared in the 1940's and it kind of put the kibosh on compressed air engines. It probably reduced the weight that had to be carried by a larger aircraft. ian

	pb_guy, Thanks for the comment. Now perhaps someone out there will get inspiration from the book and build that huge compressed air engine powered plane. The search for this book lead to finding another book about compressed air engines for model aircraft by Bert Pond. He called it EXPANSION ENGINE POWERED MODEL AIRCRAFT. 	FINALLY !! The final page. I hope you enjoyed reading the book. Do more research and find other Joe Ott contributions. Many of his designs are found on the internet these days. When I realize how long it took to write this text along with all of the drawings, scanning it onto this site for everyone is the least I could do. Down hill Final page is Chapter 41 338

	I sympathize with your issues scanning a book, been there, done that. You have indeed enriched our libraries with an old and useful book. My intend is to tidy up your scans and size the pages to approximately the original height. Knowing your images are Letter size is sufficient. I don't intend to repost your work. What else do you have in your library? My contribution to the modelling database was a FF Fieseler Storch with building manual on Hip Pocket Aeronautics. - Stringers Down hill wrote on Jul 15^th, 2018 at 9:21pm: Stringers I have not been close to a computer for several days now. With more work I could certainly make an exact copy, but my intention was to just let the S&T family enjoy an old text written by one of the early notables, Joseph S. Ott. Down hill
