Great job on the color scheme and love the canopy.

I just found out that I had been trowing away those envelopes with advertisements and should have kept those with the big windows for the plastic, it will be my first try to accomplish canopies as on the plans.

Hopefully soon Bob...but ran into a snag on the canopy.  The cellophane was fine for the rear window and center part of the canopy but too thin for the windscreen.  Just wouldn't hold the shape without wrinkling.  Thought I had some thin plastic from a cookie box but it got tossed last week.  So, guess I'll have to bite the bullet/cookie and buy another box to finish this canopy.  I know it will be a great sacrifice but someone has to do it!!! Cheesy Grin Wink Yumm!

That looks really appealing. I might have to build the peanut plan by Pres. Bruning. At least, I'll add it to the 'list'.

Well, I added some panel lines, exhaust manifolds (in paint), and started the rear canopy aft of the seat/headrest area.  I'm using some cellophane for this window that I got at the Dollar Store.  It comes in a big roll, I think it's for wrapping baskets etc.  Very light and a lifetime supply.  I also had to make a windscreen support over the instrument panel.  I'm using reed and molding it around a pattern. So that's drying now and will be applied later tomorrow or Monday.
Sun came out up here in the Pacific Northwest today so pics outside!

She was comparable to the Republic P-47.  Maybe just a bit smaller overall. She was designed for speed, climb and altitude to combat the big allied bombers (mostly B-29's) She was equipped with fowler flaps for some manuverability, but basically an interceptor.

Thanks Neo...I've really enjoyed this build and in the future I'll build a 27" or so Raiden/Thunderbolt in Japanese, (Jack).
