I'm sure you built a jig for balancing your CL models as well as holding on to the wingtips.

I use a 2"X4" and some 1/4" dowel cut about 12" long and glued into the 2x4 about 6" apart, or if you plan on building larger model drill several holes to receive the dowels starting at about 3" and going up from there.  I then use the pencil erasure replacements with the pointed tips that slip over pencils and put these on the dowels.  These become the balance points on the wing under surface as measured on the plans back from the L.E. of the wing roots.

My question is not how to determine the location of the CG, instead it is how do we actually measure it.

In my CL days, measuring the CG was a simple matter of holding on to the wingtips at the proper place to check balance. But with the P-56, it would seem to be not quite as easy as that given the wing incidence, dihedral, and wingtips. In this plan example, how exactly do we balance this thing!!??

This calculator takes in just about all configurations:
https://www.ecalc.ch/cgcalc.php?deeplink=Arcus%20(Example);cm;17.5;17.5;13.5;10....;

And this works well for canards and is the one I used for my RUTANGO:
https://rcplanes.online/cg_canard.htm

This one for "normalos":

The last two are already listed here in the board with the link to the updated site.
