We don't know if someone at the Parks Department was mad at us but when the contestants arrived at the Grassy Knoll the sprinklers on the field were running and they stayed on until the wind came up at 10:30!  The contest was not blown out, it was watered out.  I will post when the contest is rescheduled.

The Black Sheep Exhibition Squadron and the O.F.F.C. are holding the third of their second Sunday Spring Collection Contest.

This will be on Sunday, August 12, at the "Grassy Knoll" in the Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area, in Van Nuys, California.

The contest is for any rubber powered Dumas scale model.

There is no entry fee!

ROG take offs are not required!

There are two contests, Best of Three Flights and an End of Contest Mass Launch.

Prizes for the Best of Three Flights are 1st - $100, 2nd - CO2 motor, 3rd - a balsa kit.

Prizes for the first three places in the Mass Launch are gift certificates to Smith Brothers Hobbies.

So, what's the catch? It's at the Grassy Knoll, otherwise known as "The Minute Field" (If your model flies over a minute you are likely to loose it.).

No DT's permitted!  Must land on the field!

Are you up for this?

Bill Watson (Yes, this is THE Bill Watson.) is the CD for this event.  Dave Gee will be unavailable for a while so you can PM me for information.
