Sure, I would be open to suggestions, please feel free to send pictures or drawings of what you have done, I have tried fly bars, paddles, hinged rotors all without success, your help would be appreciated, pictures would be great. Thanks. Ray K.

I am glad to see a rare fan of rubber-engined scale helicopters! Only a few people in the world do this! I also had experience in trying construction. You can see the Robinson R44 on my channel. Now I have started making a scale of the MI 2 helicopter. With your permission, I want to give you some advice. The downshift from the rubber to the main rotor is an unfortunate decision. The rubber motor likes a lot of torque and doesn't like a lot of speed. Optimal raito 1:1. you Also need to stabilize the rotor, such as flybar, or weights and hinges on the three or more blades. The blades must have a concave profile

Ok, here's what I came up with for a new 90 degree drive, torque and PSI test were successful now to build another Huey to put in in to, original gear box assembly was 5 grams new on is only 3 grams.

Cheers,  Ray k.

Started construction of new gear box, need to do torque testing and PSI strength. If it is successful I will post pics, should know in the next day or two.

Hello everyone, The Huey failed to fly due to the main gear box stripping out, my gear box design is a 50 50 shot, if I get the alignment perfect it works fine, if I am off on my alignment she strips out. This just wont do. I need to come up with something for a 90 degree drive that is not alignment critical. I am tinkering with something new that will not be alignment critical and that can't strip out so time will tell. When I come up with something I will let everyone know.

Cheers, Ray K.

I'm moving this thread to the rubber powered  helicopter category because this is more of a build than a cookup.

Ray this is a fantastic model, thanks for sharing it with us!

Hello all, she is finished, she even has a nose cannon and all up weight is 54 grams without rubber, less than the VS300,  I will be doing flight tests in the next day or two.
