I've decided to build the canopy and turtle deck from a solid piece of light balsa.  I'll vacuum form the canopy and probably tint it a bit darker.

I'm building out the fuselage, trying to make it straight, smooth and round without breaking too many stringers along the way  Grin

Masters indeed, the members showcase is truly remarkable and the skill level is tremendous. I bookmarked the site for future reference.

Nice work, Brad.  Isn't it interesting how each modeler has their own starting point...for some it's the wings...for others it might be the fuselage...or even a propeller, the wheels...or a pilot.  Here's a propeller...build a model around it.  Smiley

I managed to sneak in a little build time last evening.  I got the inner fuselage box framed out and I have my top and bottom formers ready to go.  I even noticed that I have to notch the bottom of the top formers to allow for motor clearance - prior to installing them!!  Smiley  This proves that I can learn from my past mistakes  Grin

OUTSTANDING, Brad...another beautiful racer.

I love peanut scale models!  I've practiced this form of torture(love) many times myself...but it seems that most builders shy away from, as Howard so aptly called it, "building jewelry."

I'm with you...peanuts are beautiful, economical, space-saving...and demand real skill from the building board to the flying field! Smiley

I appreciate your skills, Brad.  Wink

DR-90 Nemesis

I've cleaned my work bench and started a new peanut scale build.  The DR-90 Nemesis racer.  Yes.  I'm building another race plane   Smiley

My careful selection process for my next build consisted of:
1. Peanut scale
2. What did I have plans for that were ready to go

So I have dove in and I am working on the wings and tail surfaces.  I'm thinking I will break down and buy some small airbrush gear for finishing.  If I decide to go with white like the real plane, I don't want to 'chalk' my tissue.  That is slow, messy and doesn't really give you a solid white.  I'll be thinking about it during the build.

Here are a couple of shots of progress so far.

Brad
