Thanks fellas for the nice comments!
The wing fairings were from tissue covered bond paper.  I used balsa for the trailing edge fuselage joint wedge sanded to a fine edge.  I then took bond paper and covered the bondpaper pattern with gluestick then added the wet tissue to the bondpaper pattern. The tissue is wet allowing the bond paper/tissue to be shaped for the fillet joint. When finished the tissue give the fillet the same surface as the wing and fuselage for painting later. Started at the trailing edge and used a second piece of bond paper/tissue for the front third of the fillet shaped to the leading edge of the wing.  Hope this makes sense.  The isopropyl alcohol I used to wet the tissue makes the bond paper very pliable and forms nicely to the needed contours.  Takes some practice because it will want to wrinkle depending on the amount of curves you require it to make.

Great and inspirational work, only hope mine emerges as good. Question about the fillets, tissue, bond paper or card stock?

Thanks Brad and Mike...
the color is Design Master Color Tool Burgundy it's a spray for flowers so it's semi transparent. You can get a more opaque look if you use several coats. This one has only a couple to three light coats. Got it at Michaels.

Well...I finally finished the LA-11 Fang.  Broke another leading edge section while placing the painted label material framework on the canopy.  I used the patterns to get a shape for the label paper strips to place on the canopy.  Once all the framework was place I took some thinned white glue and small brush and brushed all the edges to seal them and keep them from coming up off the canopy.  We had the second of our warm summer days today around 72 degrees.  Was nice to get in the sunshine to take a few pics.  Yahooo the Fang is finished.  I used some CYA and a "T" pin to pull the leading edge back into place.  It worked pretty good but left just a little wrinkle in that section.  I've already decided that I need to pull out my ironwood balsa for leading edges in the future.  You know the craft center balsa that is in a tall wood display stand.
I'm happy to complete this model.  When the stay at home restrictions are lifted I'll get out and try to toss this one to see what happens.

Tom - Terrific work and the canopy turned out very well. Good color and put together nicely.

Your canopy framework really looks good. The patch job is just like real in the field repairs.

Bob,
Thanks for the ribbon Grin Wink I have patched the dinged leading edges and you'll see them in the pictures

Here's the pics of the Fang with the canopy plexiglass/"celophane" completed.  I also completed the prop.  A plastic prop, next time I'll have to carve a prop, it'd be easier to fit a spinner to a carved prop with straight edges near the hub.  The spinner was turned on the variable drill using a female templete to keep the proper shape from the plan.  Still have to make the outer canopy framework. I'm pleased with the celophane canopy!
Here's the pics...
