	No reason to add the weight of the stick to the flying weight of the model - as Tom said just use a blast tube while winding. 	That's why many modelers use a winding tube, to wind the motor in the fuselage. Winding tubes use on twin click here This protects the fuselage during the winding process. The tubes can be made of plastic, aluminum, rolled balsa etc. As you'll see in the video a piece of wire is used to facilitate the removal of the tube after winding. Tom

	looking to build dumas 30" beaver the tail boom is stick build, doesn't look as it could survive a rubber motor explosion. Would like to modify to stick motor and wind outside the fuse. New guy needs help. Pics appreciated. Thanks Pat
