You are welcome, Mike. Another great source of hours of enjoyment is to peruse the back issues (2013 and older) of the FAC Newsletter here: http://flyingacesclub.com/wp/about-the-fac/fac-news-back-issues/. It is even better if you take out a membership and have access to the more recent issues. It is a great resource.

Ian - Thank you for the advice on the advance search in Outerzone. Never paid much attention to it till now and being a big fan of Emmanuel Fillon was able to see all of his designs in one place. The unusual thing of this is that European designers bring us planes that are not to heavily modeled here in the US and Canada. Fun to browse. Thank you again.

Now to figure out how to get the plans down loaded🤔

You've gotten great advice and I would second the suggestion of a high-wing model to start with. You can always deck it out in liason colors for the USAAC or RAF etc.

Go to Outerzone Advanced Search here: https://outerzone.co.uk/advanced/search_advanced/index.asp
In the search terms, set Tag1=FF and Tag2=Rubber.
Set the wingspan from 12 to 13 and press the Search button.

On the resulting page, at the bottom - set the  view to thumbnails and the results per page to 50.
Scroll through the results and pick something that appeals to you. I would suggest a high-wing cabin, like the Found Centennial, or the Helio Super Courier, or the Stinson Voyager.

Here's the link to the FFA plans area. Much to pick from.
