I tried an airbrush on my last project with very good results.  Cleanup was nothing more than a bit of acetone spritzed through it and ten minutes out in the global warming.  However, if you want a less involved alternative, there are these: https://www.amazon.com/Small-Glass-Bottle-Perfume-Atomizer/dp/B07XN95M4P/ref=sxi...; Or, if you've still got Granny's Flit sprayer... An airbrush could work very well...it's just the setup of compressor or power/gas source and then clean up and storage.  A simple spray bottle can set on the shelf or build board and be used at any moment without worry of airbrush hose hitting wet tissue or putting down the airbrush while holding the wet tissue on the fuselage or wing or stab without messing it up.  As my wifey still says, KISS (Keep It Simple Silly)!

Couldn't one use an airbrush?  A decent one can spray a very fine mist.

If you look above the point where you are editing a message, you see a lot of buttons. When you press one, it puts a 'marker' set of codes into your message that consist of a code, ie for bold it is b and /b  The square brackets tell the bulletin board software to interpret the codes as a special instruction. If you leave spaces within those code sets, it will not read the special codes as codes, but as plain text. If that doesn't make sense to you then try out a few example messages and delete them when finished.

It is easier for me because I have written computer programs for a long time.

Thanks for the tip pb_guy. Sorry to put the thread into a digression everyone, but please forgive me while I learn.

By "url marker", do you mean a simple forward slash?  [/]

Those look like good mister bottles.  I find the pump hairspray bottles from the Dollar Store work real well and hairspray is a form of laquer so not too much contamination involved.  I rinse them out with hot water and then I mist with isopropyl alcohol anyway.  My wife uses this stuff alot so if one start spraying/misting poorly I clean out her last bottle.  A buck is hard to beat for a mister bottle!

If you enclose your url between url markers, you can post a longer url.

Without Spaces!!!
[ url= ] my_url_address [ /url ]

if you want to have a url with a message then the format is:

[ url = my_url_address ] my_message [ /url ]

Sorry, the link in my last post got broken and directs you to something other than I intended. This editor won't treat the long link as a continuous item. Try copying and pasting the entire link below into you web browser:

I tried the dollar store spray bottle (larger, about 8 ounce) and found that they put out way too much pray causing the tissue to sag, etc. I found these styles on Amazon an they spray a very fine mist and are pretty cheap.

I'm having a lot of luck with one of these Cutter bug spray bottles. It sprays a very fine mist.  I cleaned it out as well as I could with soap/water rinses as well as rubbing alcohol before using it.  Not sure if any minute amounts of bug spray residue will end up causing any trouble or not...    Smiley

Misting Sprayer

In the past, whenever we found something new to bring to everyone's attention, we typically would post it in a specific sub-forum. Sometimes that sub-forum may be far enough down the page to cause us to miss it. So Tom decided to start this new area and to put it at the top where it may catch more folk's eyes. If you happen across a new product, technique, tip or whatever, please post it here!

For starters, I've been looking for a good sprayer with a fine mist that didn't spurt globs of water or alcohol everywhere. I found these on Amazon and I am very happy with them.
