I think these plans are from the 40’s...and there’s no reference to adding 5* down thrust to the motor......but I probably will...
But WHY do we do that?
Why point the motor down?

This is a odd build...the LE and Spar and TE all taper to the tips...I hate balsa dust, so I tried my little Stanley plane....I like it!
Way less dust!!!

Here's the elev and rudder.....needs sanding and hinges...but, wow, for w/s of 55"....this lifting elevator is 18" Cheesy
If she crashes....I can make a plane outta just the elevator!!!

The fuse frame is finished and just needs the pylon installed. I will do a little sheeting around the nose...but wow...is it light!
It could be a nice evening climb n glide with the electrics we will be using.....

I soaked those 1/4" sticks in hot water, then bent and framed them up. This morning all was dry and now I begin the fram up..... Smiley

I picked out my wood today at hobby lobby. Looked for lightness, as this was a gasser in the yesteryear. So, building the same sizes, I want light. It will have a 1000kv brushless and 3ch radio. My fring johnathan is setting me up into electric, as I am old school gas, heck, I even have a .29 O & R sparker on the shelf!
Myq qbuilqdiqng board is a flat, unused plant shelf, white pine, so I can use needles very well, and get a great flat build....I hope!
