Prop will be on the nose and I haven't given it a toss yet.  The horizontal stabs were a challenge to mount.  No carry through the fuselage so to stick them on each side was a challenge.  I used Aleene's Tacky Glue because the tail cone was foam and I was afraid the other glues might attack the foam through the tissue.  Took a while to set.  I may have to cut them off and redo them!!!

Looking good Tom  Smiley I think that we had just as many Comets in the RCAF as we had T-28 Trojans  Cheesy
I assume that it is a pusher? or a towline glider? (have you given it a chuck yet?)

Here's the pictures as promised.  Not much further completion.  Still need the front windscreen and and white cheat line down the middle of the red side stripes.  Also a prop to be made with clear plastic blades...this is a jet after all and I want to make the prop as invisible as I can.

Nearing completion on the Comet in Royal Canadian Air Force colors.  My red cheat line over the windows to the cockpit and tail have been a real challenge.  I have printed markings and have attached them to the aircraft.  Still have to make a prop out of clear plastic mayonaise jar blades and bamboo hub.  We'll see how this turns out and still have to make the window panes from celophane.  There's also a white cheat line in the middle of the red cheat lines through the middle of the windows.  Still debating just how to accomplish this little task.  I'm liking the looks so far.  The top of the fuselage was painted with thinned acrylic artist's paint.  Wrinkled the tissue because I hadn't sealed it with anything yet.  But as it dried it tightened up nicely.  Pics tomorrow.

Ian - Loving the pictures of your pilots under that canopy. Great work on everything as well.

The Air America is great and from the looks it should be a great flyer.

Need some tall grass. Getting backed up with all the finished projects. This one turned out good, a little heavy. Put two strands of 1/8”x 15”, should be enough power.

The men I’ve met who were with Air America and all demented....

Bob...your CG Fairchild looks fantastic.  Nice job on the landing gear struts as well.  She's a real beauty! Smiley

Love the big airplane- Tom- all those nacelles! I have a Cleveland "IT" C-47 designed for tether flying- thanks to you I'm gonna have another look at it.

Got the tissue and dope to start covering the P-47, but Mike Kelly gently reminded me I needed to finish the Fairchild so last night I started building those contemptible LG/ wing strut assemblies. This is my least favorite part of a build and I'm having Curtiss Robin flashbacks- Not my best work but I'm getting it behind me...

Finally got the Comet nose/propblock, filled and sanded.  Finished covering the wings with silver tissue.  The engine nacelle humps made this a real exercise in patience and perseverance.  I do have a few wrinkles but I'll live with them.  Here a few pics, forgot to take the top and bottom of the wings...tomorrow!

Currently at 23.8 g, 3.3 of that is the canopy alone. I had to lower the height of Woodstock a bit to fit inside the canopy. Good thing that I tried it out before gluing up the canopy!.  I finished the L/G covers and canopy today. I made those scale 2 part pieces. I also just finished installing the canopy. Other than the prop setup, I was considering adding the 'static' wires on the TE of the wing, stab and rudder.
