Wishing you the best with your treatments, be praying for you!  We're sequestered inside also here and avoiding going out except to replenish food and supplies.

Good luck with your tissuing efforts.

Many thanks for that.
I have just plucked up courage and done 1 surface of the blue wing with a straight 30/70 eze dope mix and it seems to have retightened much better so perhaps it is the colour affecting it.
I then redid the orange wing without colour and it has improved. I'm also thinking I might have been a little heavy handed with that 1st application , so i'll try thinner coats in future. There certainly is alot to learn.
Don't know what its like there with the virus but i'm currently staying in as the cancer meds i'm on put me in the higher risk group so think i'll have plenty of time over the coming weeks. Thanks again and stay safe

I've never added drops of color to the EzeDope and have no idea whether this has affected the chemical balance of the EzeDope.  How was the EzeDope applied?  How heavy of a coat was applied?  How many coats were applied?

My personal experience with EzeDope has had best results when applied with a foam brush or airbrush so that several light coats could be applied after each coat has dried.  The foam brush is almost dry so that there are no possibility of runs.  It's a very very light coat.  The heavier the coat the more sagging you will experience and the ability of the tissue to tighten up is hindered by the thickness of the EzeDope.

You might try using a hair dryer to apply heat to the wing but don't get the dryer too close to the tissue.  This might get the EzeDope to tighten up some.  If this doesn't work, the only option is to strip the tissue and recover the wing.   Cry  Sorry you've had this trouble.

1st build tissue problems

Hi, very new to the hobby, still building my 1st kit.I got all the tissue on and then water misted and was quite pleased with the result. I then used Eze Dope 30%dope 70% water to which I added some Deluxe materials scenic colours, red 3 drops and yellow 4 drops to each Ml of dope mix. This resulted in  an orange wing but the tissue is now quite slack and nothing I am trying is improving it.
Ive added a photo. The blue wing has just had water mist and the orange as described above.
Will the blue wing sag when I dope it as well?. this will have no colour added Any suggestions as to what I could do in future to stop this happening or what I can do to improve the result. Ive water misted again with perhaps a marginal improvement but nothing significant. Hope someone can help. Ray
