Looking good.  You might want to add a bit of weight to the nose to establish the direction it should go.  Prop and motor will only add to weight at the rear of the plane.  You should be able to get a glide without the prop and motor.  If that doesn't work...you may want to check the incidences of the canard and main wing and what their differences are.

I finally vacuum formed some canopies.  I always make at least two as the first usually isn't quite right.  So this rainy, windy day was perfect to break out my poor mans vacuum form set up.  It's the only modeling activity my wife allows upstairs  Smiley  they turned out nice.  The second is much better than the first.  You can see how I add 1/8 balsa extension material to my canopy form.  This gives me a nice cut line and a straight edge verses a flair.

I did try a test glide onto the guest room bed and it was not good at all.  Sort of like tossing a leaf  Angry  I'll see how if does once all the parts are on including the prop/motor.

evolution of the camo in progress.  It's feeling better.  It's a slow process since I have no plan/design.

Ha!!!  It did that last night  Smiley   But I didn't make any noises  Angry It seems to be too nose light - I think - or just to light - or I'm not throwing it hard enough. It just kind of noses up and fizzles out.  Not to worry, full steam ahead.  I will try again prior to mounting the canopy so I can sneak some weight in upfront as needed.

Coming along nicely! I would be tempted to balance it with some weight and give it a toss over the bed (accompanied with 'whoosh' noises).  Smiley

I put the plane together last weekend.  It aligned fairly nicely, but somehow the wing trailing edges don't line up - I must of sanded the front differently on each which was my primary alignment point.  Also, as you can see, I had tissue failure in several areas.  The tissue I used is very delicate when wet!!  Not my favorite.  I prefer Isaki.  The holes definitely firmed up my decision to go with a 'dessert camo' scheme that will cover the holes  Smiley

Camo work in progress.  I have skipped the master design/layout step and I'm just winging the design - pun intended - using the Jet photo for reference.  Cutting one piece at a time and seeing how it comes together.  Once all the camo tissue is applied, I'll give the entire plane another coat of eze dope.

Fuselage covering in process.  My canopy plug is very close.  Now just add about 3/16th to the bottom and back so I have 'trim marks' and hard edges once cut out.

I'm contemplating a desert camo design!!  I'm going to research some looks and then I'll decide.  It would be something different from the standard delta stripes, etc.

We finally got some rain in the Pacific NW.  There are still fires, but no danger to us and the air is again clear and fresh!!

Brad - Everything is looking really good and seems all is working out for your plane. We have some of the smoke here as well in Canada just across the Detroit river. Afternoons are slightly hazy and the sun rises and sun sets are truly amazing but sorry there is so much devastation and very glad you didn't have to evacuate.
